Opening February 2018

LFA members Ken Beaumont, Roger Gardner and Trevor Pittaway will be exhibiting in the Dewsbury Arts Group Spring Arts Exhibition which runs from 9th February to 24th March 2018 in Batley Art Gallery, Library Market Place, Batley.

Open Mondays 10 am to 7 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 12 to 4 pm, closed Wednesday and Sunday. The Preview February is on 9th February 7 pm to 9pm.


LFA member Michael Atkin’s studio will burst into life as part of Scarborough Open Studios 2018, over the weekend of 9th to 11th February 2018.

Four LFA members Sharon Astbury-Petit, Sue Atkinson, Jill Campbell and Trevor Pittaway will be exhibiting in “Dark Skies” at the Inspired By…gallery in Danby, North Yorkshire from Saturday 10th February to Monday 16th April 2018. The Private view is on Saturday 10th February 2 pm to 4pm.

LFA member Jill Campbell has two paintings selected for the Ferens Open 2018 exhibition in the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull. The exhibition runs from 17th February to 22nd April 2018.


Opening December 2017

LFA member Liz Salter has work in the “Winter Exhibition” at Zillah Bell Gallery in Thirsk, North Yorkshire from 1st to 31st December 2017.


Liz is also taking part in the Small Works Exhibition at Water Street Gallery in Todmorden OL14 5AB, that runs till 31st January.·

LFA member Neil Pittaway is exhibiting in The Mini Picture Show from 1st December 2017 to 21st January 2018 at The Bankside Gallery, London. These are works on a small scale by artists from the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.

LFA members Katrina Sadrak and Terry Chipp will be exhibiting in DIALOGUE WITH NATURE at the Old Market Gallery space in Rotherham, South Yorkshire from 10th to 22nd December 2017.


Opening November 2017

LFA member Malcolm Barton has had a painting accepted for the Open Exhibition of the Royal Glasgow Institute for the Fine Arts Annual that ran from 11th November 2017.


LFA member Keith Harris will be exhibiting paintings in The Great Sheffield Art Show at the Millenium Gallery, Sheffield, S1 2PP, from Saturday 18th to Sunday 19th November 2017. The Preview is on Friday 17th November from 7.30 pm. For more information see : www.greatsheffieldartshow.co.uk


LFA member Hester Cox and newly elected LFA member Jill Campbell have both had work selected for the New Lights Prize exhibition which is at the Bowes Museum, Castle Barnard, from 18th November 2017 to 18th February 2018.
The exhibition then goes on tour to Huddersfield Art Gallery (10th March to 2nd June 2018), Bankside Gallery, London (25th to 30th June 2018) and then to Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery, Carlisle (13th October 2018 to 27th January 2019.


LFA members Cath Brooke, Lucy Hainsworth and Janine Denby will be showing prints with the Inkers Printmakers at the Dye House Gallery, Bradford from 28th November until 18th December 2017.


Opening October 2017

LFA member Jane Burgess has works in the Batley Open Exhibition at Batley Art Gallery. The exhibition runs until 25th November 2017. Please contact the gallery for opening times.


LFA member Neil Pittaway will be exhibiting in “COLOUR & VISION”, the RWS AUTUMN EXHIBITION at the Bankside Gallery, London, from 6th October to 4th November 2017.

LFA member Keith Mountain is launching a Retrospective Exhibition at the Creative Arts Hub, 51 – 53 Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, WF14 8AB. The exhibitions runs from 6th October to 18th November 2017 and the Preview is on Saturday 7th October. The gallery opening times are Wednesday to Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm.

LFA member Sharron Astbury-Petit's painting Hanabi has been selected for exhibition in Paris's historic Salon d'Automne, held on the Champs Elysées from 12th to 15th October 2017.


LFA member Michael Atkin is holding a “A Printmaker’s Progress” exhibition of etchings, wood engravings and Lino prints, from17th October 2017 to 7th January 2018 in Preston Hall Museum, Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe, Stockton-On-Tees, TS18 3RH. The museum is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. Meet the Artist, 9th November, 10 am to 4 pm, including demonstration and workshop.


LFA member Jane Burgess will be taking part in the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA) Small Works exhibition at the Portico Gallery, Mosley St, Manchester. from 21st October to 18th November 2017. Opening September 2017

In conjunction with UNESCO and Bradford City of Film, throughout September and October, LFA member Geraldine Thompson will be displaying three of her Yorkshire Landscape paintings on the big screen in Bradford's Centenary Square.

LFA member Linda Harrision will be taking part in the “Spot the Artist” Exhibition and Sale, a Rotary Club charity event, during the 2017 St. Ives September Festival. Artists supply an A5 painting signed only on the reverse!

LFA member Roger Gardener has a solo exhibition “Equivalence”, showing recent paintings and prints from 27th September to 10th November 2017 at SNAPArts, Walker House, 22 Bond Street, Wakefield, WF1 2QP; Tel: 01924 361333.

The Preview is on Saturday 23rd September, 2pm to 4pm. The gallery will be open on selected weekends during the exhibition, and also by appointment. The exhibition is also open as part of Wakefield Artwalk on Wednesday 27th September, 5 pm to 9 pm.
