These drawings are part of a collection of work looking at the Mexican Civil War 1910-20. A bit obscure I know but does have some contemporary parallels. These drawings were to be exhibited at Dean Clough this spring but along with everything else it’s on hold for the time being. The work commemorates a hundred years since the end of this important phase of the development of modern day Mexico, the main political protagonists and perhaps, most importantly, the heroic contribution made by its beleaguered population.
