Ann McCall

I am a practising artist, living and working in West Yorkshire. My work, whilst contemporary, is very much grounded in the traditional skills and craftsmanship of a painter. 

No single subject dominates my work, but whatever the influence, my principal focus is on colour, pattern and decorative detail.

I value greatly the importance of drawing, and develop much of my work from sketching in situ. As such, my paintings have a graphic quality.

In recent years, I have rediscovered my love of life drawing and portraiture and enjoy working alongside and in collaboration with other artists.
