Absence, separation, loss, are themes that reverberate throughout my work.
My history is one of growing up with two cultures, one English, one Polish, growing up with a mysterious otherness in sensing the longing from a father who was termed a ‘displaced person’, a refugee.
My ideas often manifest through works of two halves, leaning towards duality and echo ambiguous borders and relationships.
My work speaks of the stillness of what is left, of absence, separation, loss.
After graduating from Central School of Art and Design, London and Goldsmiths University, London, I have been a practicing artist for over 40 years. As well as achieving over 20 solo shows, including two major solo exhibitions in Poland, I have also taken part in numerous group shows and artist residencies in the UK, Poland, France, Slovakia and Italy.
