From the tin miners\u00a0of Cornwall who moved to the coal mines of Durham after the demise of the tin mining\u00a0industry in the middle of the 19th century. This has been made all the more poignant by\u00a0the news in February 2021 of the last ever coal shipment leaving the port on the river\u00a0Tyne. In memory of the men of this now dead industry I produced two pictures that\u00a0were shown at a LFA exhibition at the Cooper Gallery, Barnsley in 2017 and I make no\u00a0apologies for showing them again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lockdown has provided time to reflect on my heritage and ancestry.
