The mill has been closed and derelict for several years and is now being demolished to make way for a proposed housing development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2004 I painted a watercolour of the main mill building as seen from across the millpond adjacent to a popular local footpath. In 2017 I decided to systematically document the mill\u2019s disappearance in a series of sketches that one day may form the basis of a more imaginative sequence of oil paintings.
