Fortuna

Self-Portait in a Stolen Crown

The Theme of Fortune
It all starts with Shakespeare’s Henry VI part 3 and I have been working on the theme of fortune for about 10 years when I borrowed a paper crown from a theatre production at the Globe and painted a number of self-portraits wearing the crown (Self-Portrait in a Stolen Crown). The sculptural piece is my latest completed work on the fortune theme, and I have some printmaking that I am working on currently. I might manage to get more work completed so that I can hang it together at the next LFA date at Dean Clough.
