Moving On
I used one element of a Patrick Caulfield print [the basis of the Leeds University “stimulus” – a 60s style plate – red with white spots] and I made this into an 18” x18” painting incorporating an actual plate. I have made a similar work with a target. During the lockdown I cut down various 4’ x 18” works on plywood. Sawing and drilling in the attic became a destructive / creative activity. I now have a few 18” square pieces. [Making the edges is a strain on my carpentry skills – at one stage thinking that I could exhibit the bare frames]!
