Lucy and George Hainsworth are exhibiting with the Yorkshire Sculptors Group in the Old Parcels Office Artspace located in Scarborough Station.
I was at once attracted to “The Triple Alliance” because it was clearly a Collage using printed material and playing with random shapes: a process with which I am very familiar and besides, it is of a decent size and made an immediate impact.
As we have not been allowed to travel more than a few miles from home for nearly a year now, I have used photographs as subject matter from which to make small paintings. George’s cousin who lives in Holland photographed this particular scene of the North Sea Canal.
